Ciel sighed. It was obvious that Arss was distrustful of her. But her curiosity won over her disgruntled feelings"On patrol in the middle of the desert? What for?" She laughed lightly.

He wasn’t so niave to just give information away however he had stupidly mentioned patrolling. He looked at sanya for some help but she was chasing some butterlies next to the oasis. A slightly annoyed look crossed his face as if Sanya had just betrayed him, great so much for being on guard! Keeping true to his distrust he answered rather coldly, “As you mentioned we have no business therefore I don’t see the need in telling you… I should be the one asking how you ended up out here without any signs at all? People don’t just fall out of the sky you know…” his voice shifted into a more concerned tone, “is everything all right?”

"Yes, quite all right. Kind of you to ask~" Ciel said smiling. She felt the heat of the sun bear down on her and she moved closer, back next to the palm tree. "Fine, if you're so interested in why I'm here...I'm here simply becaue I have nowhere else to go. I...am lonely. I have wandered this earth for many years, looking for something that I can never truly find..." Her gaze penetrated Arsis for a second then she looked away, toward the horizon, her eyes focused on something that wasn't there. "Perhaps one day, some person will finally find it for me...for us..." Her gaze turned cold in remembrance and she looked back at Arsis after a small silence with a smile that reflected her sorrow and longing.

The butterflies constantly avoided her capture, but it probably had something to do with the fact she was diving at them, rather than slowly creeping. Sanya stumbled after a poorly chosen lunge, but saved herself from falling. She wasn't really listening to the conversation and she didn't see Arsis' angry glare.. But she fell for the miserable tone of voice again. Rushing back over to the girl with a huge frown on her face, "aww! Arsis! Isn't that sad!?"

Ciel hid the amusement from her face as Sanya interrupted. This girl seemed distracted and completely changed by the smallest of details. Trying to keep her face straight, Ciel replied, "Not sad really. Punishment more like..." Perhaps she was saying too much, Ciel thought and a slight frown crossed her face. Better to leave these two before things got worse. Or perhaps it would be good for her to stop hiding.
She wanted feel the freedom of the skies again. Wanted to feel the power coursing through her veins like the fiercest of winds. But...this wasn't the way to go about it, that was for sure. She crossed her arms over her chest, frown deepening slightly, preoccupied in her own thoughts. Ahh, she would just stay. At least until the humans became too hostile. There was nothing better to do after all. Except perhaps annoy Pyhrrus. But that going boring after a while too, not to mention dangerous. She hid another smile.

Something with the way the girl talked intrigued Arsis. She sounded like she had all these years or wisdom that went beyond what she looked. This did little to Ease Arsis however now he was curious and Sanya’s comment helped relax him more. He fixed his posture to cross his arms and study the girl closer now, “Just what is it you’ve lost exactly?” His tone made it clear that he was interested in lending his services, after all the timing was convenient. “Perhaps we might be able to do business after all…” even as he spoke the words he almost felt regret in saying them. Maybe he was getting into something he shouldn’t be.

Ciel thought for a moment. He didn't even know that there was a curse on the gods...or did he? Some mortals tended to be a little nosy and knew a lot...about the past. About a thousand years ago. Ciel looked at Arsis without quite looking at him. Finally she spoke. "Perhaps you may be able to do what no...person has done before. Perhaps."
Ciel caught herself before she had blurted out that he was a mortal. Which made it pretty clear what she was. Ciel thought a little more...What was there to say? She couldn't give anything away. No...she was just an outsider. The audience in this corrupt little play of Nightmare's...and Dream's. She shrank back, her eyes emanating a radiating stare from the shadows of the tree. Somehow, his words were infuriating and her voice rose as she spoke. "I've lost...everything... My life. My power. Dear Arsis...I doubt that you know one thought that is going through my head right now. Don't try to understand me! I don't need that pity. I don't need it. What I need is someone who is smart enough to listen. Someone who can see the meanings behind my words. Not someone who will patronize me." Ciel smiled, her anger ebbing away as quickly as it had come. "And just maybe, you might~ But just maybe. Are you willing to try and find out? Or...you could walk away now. No need to help a small little girl who has nothing to do with you~" But her voice was heavy with sarcasm and her eyes seemed to communicate that it was a lot more than dealing with her. First hidden meaning. And a tad obvious.
Ciel looked away with a little sigh. Nightmare was so infuriating... How was the curse ever supposed to be lifted? She looked up at the sky, her face darkening. How? How? she wanted to scream for all to hear.

Normally Arsis would have left long ago, however there was something about the girl. It was hard for him to explain; perhaps the best description could be “otherworldly”. It was that reason alone which kept him from walking away. Arsis quietly replied “well I’m not walking away…” he licked his lips and looked at Sanya, “so what is it you would have us do if you became our employer?”

Ciel smiled. "Well, I wouldn't exactly be your...employer... I have no money." She shrugged, smile still skirting her lips. "But...I have other services that could be invaluable..." Her eyes slid over to gaze at Sanya. "And, I'm not going to have you two do anything... No, you misunderstand me... I want to travel with you two, in hopes that you might stumble across what I need. For, what I'm looking for...cannot be described in words." She laughed. The solution to the curse couldn't be described at all. Not by a goddess.
She took a step back, so that she could see both Sanya and Arsis together in her view. "So...what say you? May I...travel with both of you? I can prove my worth and do whatever you like... And, perhaps you might come across what I am searching for and then, you will be rewarded most lavishly~" A well practiced speech. And perfectly delivered. Each word heavy with meaning and pauses filled with silent words. She smiled.
