Validus adjusted the headband portion of his cloak as he walked threw the trades place. He was in search of a new arm bracer because his broke when he fell earlier in the day. He was originally going to search for another obsidian blade, but he missed his bracer to even think about swords.
He roamed around looking about at all of the traders and all of the people. He wasn't used to interacting with people, which was why he was in such a hurry. His eye twitched as a person ran into his shoulder and continued walking. He really wanted to leave and go make his own bracer, but if he made one it wouldn't have lasted him as long as a professionally made one.

Lupus was running at the edges of the tradesplace. It was oh so very tempting to run in as a massive wolf, with claws and teeth like daggers. She had been traveling during the daytime as a wolf, reluctant to travel as an elf but when coming into a populated area such as this... She stole behind a boulder and quickly turned back to an elf with a sigh. It was always a disappointment to turn back. She pressed out a crease in her tunic and walked into the tradesplace. Almost immediately she was assulted by a tradesman.
"I'm not here to sell," she said loudly in hopes that he would be discouraged. He slunk away. Her eyes flashed dangerously at other tradesmen, daring them to come near. They kept their distance and she walked into the area of crowded stalls, loud shouts filling the air. People bustled by and didn't hesitate to run into her in every way possible. She fought her way through the crowd and sat at a food stall, trying to get the attention of the store keeper. "Excuse me!" she called but the manager seemed to hear everyone but her. She made a little growl of frustration, folding her arms across her chest and waiting for the fat man to finish his conversation with a particulary loud customer.

Walking past a food stall, where a womna was trying to gain the attention of the manager, Validus noticed that he was lost. He wasn't used to all these peopl that it was overwhelming. 'Might as well take a break. I just need to sit down and think.' He thought as he walked over to the food stall and took a seat and looked at people as they passed.

Lupus sighed in obvious frustration. Her short-temper didn't help the situation much. With a little suprise, someone sat next to her at the stall. She gave up on the storekeeper and gave the stranger a sideglance through the corner of her eyes. His hair was white...yet he was young. At least for an elf. He seemed a little...uncomfortable in the bustling crowd. Time for a conversation starter.
"Hello," she said turning toward him, a wolflike grin on her face. Screw the storekeeper.

Validus's eyes turned to the woman, "Hello." He said turning his head to her with a slight smile. This was a rare thing for him to talk to someone. He wasn't the social type and that's why he's so uncomfortable in large crowded areas. He noticed that she too were an elf as well. That made him slightly more comfortable talking to her.

Lupus glanced at the storekeeper but he seemed to have attracted another customer to join into his charming conversation. She turned her gaze back at Validus. She looked at him critically, wondering if she could trust him.
"I'm actually...looking for something..." she said finally. "I thought that I could find it here. At Urnay. But I'm a bit lost actually and..." Her voice trailed off and she gazed at him, her mind in turmoil. Would he shy away if he knew what she truly was?

He looked down, "And?" He replied trying not to sound rude, but she hadn't finished her sentence. "If you need help searching for something, I'll help." He said looking at her hoping for her to tell him what she was searching for.
The conversation that the manager had gotten louder as he continued to draw more people into it. Validus shook his head slightly trying to ignore how loud it was in this place.

The uncertainty vanished from her face and she smiled."Kind of you to do so... I'm actually looking for a book on werewolves. A particular book. It's written by the Duchesne family, a long line of werewolves. It doesn't really have a title but it has come to be known as Halfling for the few that know of it..." She lapsed into silence. "It would really help if you did...Most of the stores are run by elves and my elvish is very...limited... I've forgotten most of it in the hundred years that I've wandered." She gave an airy laugh, tainted with her sorrow at forgetting.

He didn't bother to wonder what her fasination with werewolves were but he was going to help any way. His elvish was a tad wary but he caught most words, and remembers certain things. He hadn't had to use it in a long time. "Halfling you say? Well, we won't find it just sitting here. We better start fighting through crowds of people and asking shop keepers if we're going to try to ind it here. Should we split up and meet back here or look for it together?" Validus asked, they would cover more ground if they split up, but they could get lost that way too.

Lupus frowned slightly thinking. "I suggest that we...stay together." she said finally. "I'm afraid that I'll probably just end up lost and trying to ask directions in broken Elvish...and of course, failing miserably." She laughed and stood up from the bar. "And I still haven't learned your name. I'm Lupus. Pleased to make your acquaintance," she said, a smile returning to her face. Perhaps she would finally come across what she had been looking for after years of wandering. It was certainly lifting her spirits.

"Ok." He said with a smile while standing up. It would be easier to travel together. "My name is Validus." He said bowing to her in respect. "Which direction would you like to begin? He said looking around. It didn't matter to him which way they went, he was a translator for her.

"Ah, don't bow to me..." Lupus said embarassed, but she was smiling.
"Ah, do you want some sort of payment or anything?" she asked, hurriedly. "Anything I could use to pay you back? I would feel bad for wasting your time and all..."

"There's no need to pay me back." He said smiling. "I help for the sake of helping. And your not wasting my time, I'm more then happy to be able to help." He said, then he relized that he was making it sound like he doesn't get out much, which is true, because most people don't take the timeto slow down, they're always in a hurry.

Lupus was unconvinced but she agreed reluctantly. "If you say so..." she said but she resolved to find something that she could do. Perhaps she could find something that he liked among the various goods. She started down a row of stalls, thinking. "I'm sure that the book is in the hands of a dealer of some sort. One who sells rare goods." A frown creased her brow. "Do you know of any good rare-item dealers?"

Validus noded. And pointed in the direction of one of the shops that he saw earlier that had rare items. "I noticed one over there when I came over here I walked passed it and took a look at it, it looked like it had some rare items, we'll start there." He said as he began to walked in the direction he had pointed in.

"Alright," Lupus said agreeably. As if she had any idea of where she was going. While Validus was looking in the other direction, she quickly nicked some money from a passerby. A huge man who seemed to be pigging out on food. She slipped the money into an inside pocket of her tunic. She hurried to catch up to Validus. They came to a shop, shady and smelling slightly of incense and old dust. She peered in.

"This is the place." He said, "It may not look like a nice shop but it's a good place to start." He said looking for the shop owner. He started to walk in slightly thinking that the owner may be farther in the they could see, "Hello?" He called out for the shop owner waiting for it to pop out of no where and catch him off guard.

Lupus stepped in behind Validus, looking at the stuff around her.
((xD i'll just play the storekeeper too)) "Ah, a customer..." murmured an old man sitting in the corner. ((xD in elvish.)) He seemed relaxed and didn't move from his position. His gray eyes watched the two like a hawk looking at its prey.
"Halfling..." Lupus said but she couldn't find the right words in Elvish. She gave up looking at Validus for help. The old man said nothing and merely flicked a piece of lint off his robes. His gaze never faltered.

Validus looked at Lupus then at the shop keeper, "Shi eisi jhyjol thys ei shyl talaer Calol. Pai ile cali air?" (translation: We are looking for a book called Hafling. Do you have it?) He said still looking at the old man. He wasn't sure if his elvish was correct but the shop keeper would probably know what he was talking about.

The shop keeper finally got up slowly. "Kwara sina ten'amin..." ((Take a look around...)) he muttered, loud enough for them to hear. "Nae saian luume," ((I'll check the files)) he continued with a sigh. "...mae govannen." ((but it can be innacurate)) He lumbered into a back room, grabbing a pair of spectacles from the counter as he went and he flipped a switch, probably activating some kind of anti-theft barrier.
"What did he say?" Lupus asked the minute he left the room. Her gaze traveled over the various items in the shop. Many looked lethal.
