Arima ignored the pushing of the people around her in the marketplace. She was in a good mood this particular afternoon and the jingle of coins in her pocket was the reason. She was paid fairly well for the killing of a man. Simply burying him in the ground a few feet under, she headed back to town towards the river on the other side.
Once at the edge of town, the jostling of the people ceased and Arima could easily move again. Happily letting out a sigh, she continued walking towards the river. Setting down her bag of belongings next to her, she opened her canteen to fill it up with fresh water again. After doing so, she washed her hands thoroughly. They had gotten dirty after she dug that grave for the man. Studying her hands carefully, she smiled slightly knowing not a speck of dirt was on them.
Hearing someone approaching, she quickly jumped into the safety of the trees. Narrowing her eyes at the spot where she was, she silently cursed, seeing that she left her things, but it was to late to go back without being seen. Arima bit her lip, chastising herself.
OOC: anybody welcome ^^

Two people walked along the.. 'river' to reach the town. A man and a woman. The woman was holding the man's arm. They seemed to be talking.
"Allerlet, I just don't see why we need to find this man. We can get this ruins translated from someone else." The man said, looking down at her. The woman sighed. "Well, who else can we ask? We don't know anyone here. You know, this world is full of gullible people. No harm in tricking them, right?" She leaned her head against his shoulder. The man sighed. "I guess you are right.." He started to say, but was quickly interrupted. "Honey, I am always right," She stopped for a second, still holding onto Anmute. He was pulled back to Allerlet. She looked at the items resting on the riverbank. "Oh dear. Who's things are these?" She let go of Anmute arm, and walked up to the bag and other objects. "Now, let's not rummage through this person's belongings. I am sire that they will be back any minute."

Arima held her breath and quietly unsheathed her sword, narrowing her eyes to see the people better. A man and a woman... she thought. She drew in a deep breath and held it as the woman approached her belongings. Swallowing, she waited for a while and as the man spoke, the woman didn't look like she had any intention of stealing her things.
Arima had planned to sheath her sword and calmly approach them to claim her things but unfortunately as she moved her sword, a beam of sunlight hit it and reflected onto her bag. She froze, watching it light up a small circle of the brown fabric. Her eyes darted to the river. Perfect. Arima leaped out as quickly as she could and stabbed a fish at the end of her sword, watching it flail futilely as she held it up. "I'm sorry if I surprised you," Arima said to the two. "I'm fishing," she informed pleasantly.

Allerlet took a few steps back, and bumped into Anmute. Anmute held Allerlet's shoulders. "Oh no, it's okay. You just startled me," Allerlet wiggled her shoulders a little to get Anmute to let go, "My name is Allerlet, and this is Anmute." Anmute waved his hand, his claws gauntlets gleamed in the sunlight.

Arima first took the fish off her sword's tip and wiped it clean with a handkerchief. Then, her eyebrow flew up instantly when she noticed they were a couple but she also instantly set it back down. "Again, I'm sorry," she apologized, bowing like a gentleman would, her white hair spilling over her shoulders like silk. "It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Arima," she added, standing straight again. Her eyes caught the friendly gesture of Anmute but her hand still flinched. She had managed to catch it before it flew to her hilt and drew her sword. Habits die hard.
"What brings you here?" Arima politely asked, slinging her bag over her shoulder and holding the fish by it's fin.

Allerlet held Anmute's arm. Her hand grabbed his hand. "We're heading for the town up ahead. We need to find someone who can decode old elvish."
((Eh... sorry for the short post. My mind can't really think of anything.))

"Old elvish?" Arima thought for a moment. "If I may ask, for what?" She hadn't always been a nosy person, but she thought she might help these people. There were several employers she knew that might be able to find an old elf to help but Arima wasn't sure. Concluding that leading them on a wild goose chase won't help at all, Arima tried to remember any elves she had seen in the city she just passed through. "The town up ahead has few old elves, they might or might not help you. Just a little fact," she mused aloud, shrugging subtly. "Whatever journey you're on, I wish you best of luck. I thank you for not being curious about my belongings and in return I will help you in need, shall I ever see you again." Arima had temporarily forgotten she, herself, was an elf. The two would probably wonder why Arima hadn't offered to read the book, but she couldn't, anyway. Being raised by humans did that to her.

Allerlet nodded at Anmute. "Ah, yes. Thank you for the information." Anmute said. Allerlet smiled at Arima. "And you're welcome. We wouldn't steal you belongings. It is not in a Duisternis-Kin's nature to steal, Light or Shadow." "Oh... You are an elf, yes? Do you happen to know how to read Old Elvish? Even just a little... It could help us greatly to get any information." Anmute asked. Allerlet elbowed him in the side lightly, indicating to him that it was rude of him to ask.

Arima bowed slightly again. "It was nothing," she replied, straightening up with a smile. "I see," she remarked to Allerlet's comment. She next would've blurted out 'I'm glad I didn't have to chop off your head,' but luckily for her, she managed to catch herself.
But at Anmute's next question, she frowned slightly and looked ashamed. "Actually, contrary to what you might think, no," she responded, pushing a stand of hair behind her pointy ears. "I grew up with humans and so I know of no Elvish. I'm terribly sorry I cannot help," she finished, her head hanging low to stare at the ground.

Allerlet walked up to Arima. "Oh, don't worry about it. It's always a good thing to be truthful to others," She extended a hand to Arima, "Hopefully, this will not be our last meeting."

Arima smiled and shook the extended hand heartily. "Thank you. I, too, hope that we shall meet again. Otherwise, how am I to repay you?"
Arima stuck her hand out for Anmute to shake. "I wish to see you both again soon and well on your way with whatever you are doing." She waved and smiled at the both of them as she walked downstream, having no destination in mind.
